Hello everyone, this is the final post for this blog. Thank you for your continued support of this educative blog. We sincerely hope that everyone understands the concepts of chronic disease and it's patient care. It's a fascinating issue to explore and have a better knowledge of. While studying this chapter, we found that there are still some people who are unsure. That is why, through this fantastic blog, we hope to assist our friends in gaining a better grasp of this topic. ODL is difficult for everyone, to be sure. Don't give up on your studies, though, for knowledge is the only way to change our lives for the better. Have faith in Allah's plan for us, and if you genuinely want to quit, don't be afraid to ask Allah for help. "Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near," says verse 124 of Surah Al-Baqarah. We'd want to express our gratitude to Asst. Prof. Dr. Norhanna Binti Sohaimi, our favourite instructor, for never giving up on us. Thank you, my r...

Islamization

One demonstration of love for Allah and His Prophet among the health practitioner is to give healthcare services to patients, families, and communities with sincerity. Sincerity brings people together. Islamic principles include compassion and duty toward those in need. Medical expertise has been one of our benefits throughout the growth of Islam as a religion, culture, and civilization. Islamic thinkers such as Ibn Sina considered not only medical knowledge but also Islamic knowledge, which is frequently employed today. Disease, suffering, pain, and death are viewed by Muslim patients as a test from God, and illness is viewed as a trial during which one's sins are expunged. Because health is so important in Islam, taking care of one's health is a religious obligation. God has bestowed one of the greatest blessings on human beings was health. The Prophet Muhammad  said “ There are two blessings which many people do not appreciate: health and leisure” .Indeed, it is reg...

Different people react to the same "danger" in different ways. If we try to understand this infection by focusing solely on the virus and ignoring the human aspect, we will almost certainly never be able to do so. The human element is all too frequently overlooked, but when it is, it can add a lot of value. The following is the list of the most important health aspects that you can control on your own : Concentrate on what you have control over  -  There are numerous things that influence one's health. Trying to concentrate on all of them at once is exhausting. It's critical to be conscious of those elements that are beyond our daily control - unless you've chosen to be an advocate for a specific cause and to concentrate on those that are more easily influenced. Sleep -  Sleep ...

Preventive requirement to reduce patient dose:

Distance: Accurate SID is important in ensuring the radiation dose received is tolerable and gives good images  Time : Lower mAs will reduce radiation dose to the patient, Radiographer needs to make the correct decision Shielding: Do not forget shielding such as from lead that can absorb scatter radiation Techniques: Gives correct kVp and mAs according to patient body habitus to get a better image to avoid repetition in exposure (underexposed or overexposed) Positioning: patient positioning must be correctly done to get a high-quality image of the area of interest. Collimation: Closed collimation to the side of interest to reduce patient radiation and scattering

The role of radiographer towards patient care

Image
A radiographer is a highly-skilled healthcare professional who uses medical imaging equipment such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound to provide high-quality diagnostic images. They are vital in ensuring that the doctor and radiologist receive the best radiographs possible, which aid in the diagnosis of chronic disease in patients. Their existence is undeniably significant because radiographers' procedures and tests will determine the doctors' medical evaluation. In addition to offering mental and physical support to patients during the pre-test and post-test periods, they also provide comfort and safety to patients to rely on. Radiographers role in safety: Use correct isolation, sterile, and aseptic practices to protect the patient, yourself, and others from contagious infections. Verify patient identification before any radiograph is taken Reassure and comfort the nervous or terrified patient emotionally and physically such as providing a blanket and communicating ...
